Claudia's Story

Since he was a baby and from the first moment he saw one, my son fell in love with dogs. He
has asked me to give him one for years. Finally, for his 20th birthday we promised him one.
I started searching for a small one, as the place we live is small. I found what I was looking for in
Wyoming. We even had the dog flown to Los Angeles.
This very cute, small Pomeranian arrived at the airport and my son had to go get his dog. When the dog
arrived at the house, he was terrified and airsick. We couldn't get him out of the carrier, and after twenty
minutes or so of waiting for him to come out, I reached in the carrier and pulled him out. He couldn't stop
shaking and my landlady immediate gave him Pedialite to prevent dehydration.
I put him on my lap and started stroking his
hair and eventually he stopped shaking and started sniffing everything. By nighttime he was comfortably
moving around the house.
My son had named him Hades (due to his fascination with Greek Mythology). And believe when I say that the
name suits him perfectly.
Little by little, he started to be with me more and more. Eventually, he started to be with no one else
but me and he follows me wherever I go. He even sleeps in my room. My son has come to realize that the dog
is his but attached to me. We have talked about it and he seems to be fine with Hades attachment to me.
Hades is now ten months old and still thinks he is a puppy. He chews on everything that he finds and
loves to terrorize the cats. He playfully chases them all over the house and keeps them away from me.

He barks at anyone that gets even close to the house and when there is someone at the door he goes
absolutely crazy. About someone touching me, he finds a way to jump on me and get in between the person and
myself. I have to tell you that he is totally spoiled. After all, he is my baby.
