Bella Reece

Bella Marie Reece, beloved companion, devoted mother, and cherished member of the Reece family, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Boonville, North Carolina, on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the age of nine.

She was born in the later months of 2016 and was officially adopted by the Reece family on January 16, 2017.

Bella went on to begin a canine family of her own in May of 2018 and would spend the rest of her life with two of her daughters, Maggie and Stormy, by her side. Binx, her feline sister, joined the Reece family in May of 2023, and together they formed a special, albeit somewhat distant, bond.

Bella, Maggie, and Stormy were inseparable. From the day her daughters were born, they spent every moment together. Whether lounging beneath a shade tree, taking strolls throughout the town of Boonville (often contrary to the wishes of their human mother), gnawing on a favorite treat, or watching their feline sister, Binx, perched on the windowsill, they were rarely apart.

Bella's passing leaves an emptiness not only in the hearts of those who loved her, but also in the lives of Maggie and Stormy, who knew no life without her. Though her time on earth was far too short, the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through the countless memories she leaves behind and in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She was preceded in death by her two canine cousins, Fluffy Cookie Wicks and Winston “Ruff” Wicks.

Bella is survived by her human parents, Dorian Reece and William Norman; her human sister, Holland Sandra Norman; her human grandparents, Christopher Lee Reece and Tina (Tiras) Wicks; her human nephews, Riley Wicks and Thomas Wicks; her biological canine daughters, Maggie and Stormy; and her feline sister, Binx.
