I’ve always heard dogs are with us for part of our lives, but we are with them all of theirs. That hits hard today as we have to say goodbye to Jakobie.

Jakobie came to us at 8 weeks old. He was a bundle of energy from the get-go. He loved to play with all sorts of balls. His favorite being a tennis ball. He would chase or catch tennis balls all day if someone would throw one. He would also hoard them not letting his fur brothers play with them.

Every single day Jakobie chose us. He loved us with everything he had without question, with condition. That kind of love stays. The impact Jakobie had on our lives and members of our family will be forever.

Jakobie, we loved you for your whole life, we will miss you the rest of ours. Rest peacefully, our sweet boy.
