In Loving Memory of Lanie-Bear Bason

Lanie-Bear Bason entered this world on January 5, 2009, and found her forever home in March of that same year. From the moment she arrived, she filled her family's lives with unconditional love, endless entertainment, and a personality much bigger than her tiny size. Lanie proudly lived with "little dog syndrome" and never realized she wasn't the biggest dog in the room.

Lanie never turned down a treat. Her favorite foods included Biscuitville dog bones, any table scraps that happened to hit the floor, and, of course, dog treats of every kind. She especially loved spending time at Buggs Island, where she enjoyed boat rides, swimming, supervising the fishermen, and carefully inspecting every fish that was caught. She made every adventure just a little more fun.

Above all else, Lanie loved her family. She was a loyal companion through every season of life, always ready to offer comfort, laughter, and unconditional love. Though only one small dog, she left an immeasurable mark on the hearts of everyone who knew her.

Lanie crossed the Rainbow Bridge on July 31, 2026. While her family grieves her absence, they find comfort in imagining her reunited with her Mawmaw, Denise Loye, and resting in the loving arms of Jesus.

Lanie is lovingly survived by her dad, Matt Bason; her mom and stepdad, Ashley Bason and Eddie Bordeaux; her human brother and sister, Dallas Bason and Chandler Bason; her grandparents Jerry Loye and Bob and Sharon Bason; her K-9 siblings, Goose and Rosie; and her feline sister, Gracie.

Run free, sweet Lanie-Bear. May there always be endless treats, sunny boat rides, cool swims, and plenty of fish to inspect. You will forever be loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
