Luke Garner

2012 — October 6, 2025

Asheboro

Luke Garner, a true companion and friend, crossed the Rainbow Bridge at the age of 13 on October 6, 2025 surrounded by his family. Luke was more than just a dog—he was a constant, loyal companion to his dad, and a source of comfort, joy, and laughter for our entire family.

Luke came into our lives as a spirited Boykin Spaniel puppy, full of energy and curiosity. He quickly became his dad’s best friend, following him everywhere and sharing in countless moments of happiness and calm. Whether he was chasing after cats in the yard with his characteristic enthusiasm or sneaking bits of table food, Luke’s playful and mischievous nature never failed to bring smiles to our faces (and also a little irritation).

As the years went by, Luke grew into a loving and steady presence. In his older age, he found contentment in simply following his dad around the house, offering gentle companionship as they moved through their daily routines. Long naps in the sun, the warmth of his dad’s presence, and the occasional treat were enough to make Luke’s days complete. Though his energy slowed, his devotion never wavered.

Luke was more than a pet—he was family. His loyalty, love, and unwavering companionship will be missed every day. He is survived by his dad, Jimmy; sisters, Kasey and Kelly; uncle, Steve; and nieces, Ainsley and Ava. His absence leaves a hole that can never be filled.

Rest in peace, sweet Luke. You brought endless joy to our lives, and we will forever carry you in our hearts. We are grateful for the 13 years we shared with you, and we know you are now enjoying eternal sunshine and endless naps.
