"Nurse" Rosie Grantham-Kane

‘Nurse’ Rosie Grantham-Kane resided with Sparkle Cat Rescue founders Stephanie & Jim since her rescue when she was under a year old in 2016, from someone’s yard in Burlington NC. Nobody ever applied to adopt her and she was a constant companion to diabetic forever foster Bogey, who preceded her in death in 2024. She decided our home was hers and we loved her greatly.

Rosie passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025 after a brief illness. She had declined rapidly in the last month of suspected kidney failure. Rosie was camera shy and anytime a photo opportunity arose, you had to do it very sneaky. We captured many beautiful moments of her and her bestie Bogey. Rosie also loved putting her paws around your neck from behind if your back was to her while sitting on the couch and she’d give you a big hug. She was very much loved and will always be in our hearts.
