Potter Sparkle

My heart is broken with the sad news that our sweet Potter passed away this morning after a quick decline in his health. Potter was born in June 2019 and rescued with his family shortly after birth. He and 12 other cats and kittens were rescued together by Sparkle Cat Rescue after being taken to the Elon Police Dept. Thankfully, someone at the police dept knew an SCR volunteer and we immediately rushed to their rescue.

Potter was loved and adored by all who met him. His first foster family Rowan & Josh lavished him with lots of love and affection. He was adopted by a nice family but returned to the rescue in 2024 in hopes of finding a home he’d be more content in. It was an incredibly tough decision for that family and didn’t come lightly. We did stay in touch and updates. They were amazed at his progress of not hiding and was even playing with toys. They said they’d never seen him play.

Potter loved lounging in a rocking chair or hanging out by the floor fan during warm months. He played with toys, allowed belly rubs and lots of petting, and did very good with other cats he lived with. He was such a chill cat. Always had those amazing wide eyes!
