Rocco Sparkle

Rocco crossed the Rainbow Bridge Friday morning, June 5th after a brief battle with an illness. His decline was rapid and we made a humane decision to let him cross peacefully and with dignity. He will always be remembered and forever in our hearts. I especially loved him and was honored to have had his trust for the past few years and get head bonks from him and, most of all, his undying love.

Some cats come into Sparkle Cat Rescue, and we know, deep down, they’ll never leave us. We call them our ‘Forever Fosters’ — the ones who’ve been through too much or whose special needs mean they’ll live out their days safe and loved right here.

Rocco was a sweet 12-year-old gentleman and was a ‘Forever Foster’. He had 3 homes before finding Sparkle Cat Rescue in March 2022, after his human mom passed unexpectedly. It took him nearly 2 years to adjust, but then he really thrived as a loyal desk companion and gentle soul. He enjoyed his days hanging out on the cat tower or in a nice comfy/fluffy cat bed. He loved his wet food and was always first to his bowl when wet food was on the menu. He loved to tear into bags of dry cat food so that had to be kept up. He enjoyed playing with catnip toys and looking out the window at the birds. We sure are going to miss him very much.
