Winston "Ruff" Wicks

Mr. Winston “Ruff” Wicks, 10, of Boonville, NC, passed away in the early morning on Saturday, February 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Throughout his life, Winston enjoyed runs around the town of Boonville, playing football with his human brothers, Thomas and Riley, cuddling with his family while watching a movie, lounging in various places among his home, and spending time with the ones who loved him most.

Winston was preceded in death by his canine brother and best friend, Fluffy Cookie Wicks; and his older canine brother, Rosco, whom he never had the pleasure of knowing.

He is survived by his 8 human best friends, his father, Tiras Wicks; mother, Tina Wicks; brothers, Riley Wicks and Thomas Wicks; sister, Dorian Reece; brother-in-law, William Norman; niece, Holland Norman; a special friend, Christopher Reece; feline sister, Mama Cat; feline brother, Oswald; 3 canine cousins, Bella, Maggie, and Stormy; and feline cousin, Binx.

A celebration of Winston’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at his residence.
